Organization Milestones

An Organization Milestone is a planning target that can group Release Versions from several Projects. It is not a deployable version, and completion does not prove that software was deployed. A Release Version can belong to more than one Milestone.

Open Milestones in the Organization navigation to see active targets. An Organization administrator or owner can create and edit a Milestone with a name, description, owner, and target date. Its states are Planned, In progress, Completed, and Archived. Archiving preserves the record and its membership; restoring returns it to its previous state. Managers can add accessible Project Release Versions and remove them after confirmation. Each change is recorded in Milestone history.

Milestone access never grants access to a Project, Release Version, Work Item, or announcement. Lists, progress counts, and links show only Projects the viewer can currently access. The page says that the numbers are scoped to authorized Projects without disclosing hidden Project membership or counts. Work Items assigned to two Releases in one Milestone count once in its Work Item progress. Empty Milestones and undated targets remain visible. A Release Version’s detail page links back to the Milestones that reference it.
