Gitea

The Gitea Application connects Hamstik Organizations and Projects to Gitea. It is designed to keep repository delivery context close to the planning work without replacing Gitea as the source of truth for repository data.

Connection model

Gitea connections are configured per Organization in Organization Settings → Apps → Gitea. Project-level configuration selects the repository context used by that Project.

Provider credentials are stored by Hamstik and are not exposed to the background worker as per-Organization plaintext configuration. The worker uses the application’s encrypted connection data and the deployment’s outbound policy.

What to expect

  • Provider connectivity can be temporarily degraded without silently removing the Project’s capability.
  • Repository synchronization is asynchronous and can take a short time to appear.
  • The connected repository remains owned and administered in Gitea.
  • Access still depends on current Hamstik Organization membership and the configured connection.

Do not paste Gitea tokens into Work Item descriptions, comments, or public support messages. Configure the connection through the Organization Application settings.
