Creating an account
Hamstik supports email and password sign-in, plus GitHub and Google OAuth when those providers are enabled for the deployment.
Register with email and password
Choose Create an account on the sign-in page and register with your name, email address, and a password of at least 8 characters.
- Submitting the form does not create a signable account yet: Hamstik emails a verification link to the address you entered, and the account exists only after you follow that link. Until then, the address cannot sign in.
- The verification link expires after 30 minutes and can be used once. If it has expired or the email never arrived, submit the registration form again — a fresh link is sent and any earlier link for the address stops working.
- If an account already exists for the address (for example, one created earlier with GitHub or Google), Hamstik never merges the two. Complete the verification and Hamstik explains your sign-in options, or simply sign in with your existing method.
- If you did not request the email, ignore it — no account is created without following the link.
- Where signup is disabled by the deployment’s platform policy, the Create an account entry is not offered.
Create your first workspace
After signing in for the first time, Hamstik guides you through creating an Organization. The Organization is the boundary for membership, Projects, Work Items, and organization-level settings.
- Open Hamstik and choose Sign in — or pick a plan on the Pricing page.
- Complete the available sign-in flow.
- If you do not belong to an Organization yet, follow the onboarding prompt to create one.
- Add a Project, or invite teammates once the workspace has a useful shape.
Upgrade a new or existing Organization
When you choose Pro or Enterprise on the Pricing page, Hamstik carries that choice with you: after signing in (with email/password or GitHub/Google) and after your email verification, you land directly in the right billing step.
- A new account goes through Organization onboarding with your plan shown (price, billing boundary, and annual renewal) — creating the Organization opens its Billing section, ready for the chosen plan.
- An existing owner of one Organization lands directly in that Organization’s Billing. An owner of several Organizations chooses explicitly which one to bill; nothing is billed to an Organization silently.
- The selected plan is a navigation preference only. Completing a purchase still requires an Organization owner and provider-confirmed Checkout, and closing Checkout never changes an existing subscription.
- Free signups skip all of this: create an account, create an Organization, start working.
Choose a default Organization
If you belong to more than one Organization, you can choose a default Organization. This is a navigation preference: it controls where the app takes you when you open the root, but it does not grant access or change your role.
Enterprise administration
If you are an Enterprise Owner, your Account page includes an Enterprise administration entry. Use it to review the Enterprise, manage associated Organizations, understand consolidated usage and billing, and manage other Enterprise Owners. Enterprise administration shows billing-safe Organization metadata only; Organization membership and work access remain separate.
Invite teammates
Organization owners and administrators can invite colleagues by email. Invitations identify the Organization and proposed role, and an unsuccessful email delivery does not silently discard the invitation.
See Users & permissions for role boundaries and Organizations for workspace settings.
Change your email address
Open your profile settings and submit the new address. Hamstik requires recent authentication and sends a verification link to the new address; the account continues using its current address until that link is completed. Verification links expire after 30 minutes. If you use GitHub or Google without a password, sign in again with the provider before requesting the change.
Recover a forgotten password
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot your password? and enter the email address you use to sign in. Hamstik sends reset instructions to that address only — reset links can never be redirected to a different address.
- The link expires after 60 minutes and can be used once.
- Resetting the password signs out every existing Hamstik session for the account, and the old password stops working immediately.
- Accounts that sign in with GitHub or Google and have no Hamstik password do not receive reset instructions; recover access through the sign-in provider.
- If you receive reset instructions you did not ask for, you can safely ignore the email — your password does not change unless you follow the link.
Hamstik deliberately does not confirm whether an address has an account: every request gets the same response.
Change your password
Open your profile settings and enter your current password and the new one. Changing the password signs out all Hamstik sessions for the account, including the browser you used to change it — sign in again with the new password. Password accounts can change their password at any time; accounts that use only a single sign-on provider have no Hamstik password to change.
Sign out everywhere
On your Account page, Sign out everywhere ends every Hamstik session for your account, including the current one. Use it if you left a device signed in that you no longer control. Public API credentials you created on the API tokens page are not affected.
